any rule set can be learned and worked around. I like gold pooling as it makes life easier. I hope i can keep all the different rule sets straight

Gold pooling isn't bad in and of itself. Its impact was definitely more powerful than Design foresaw so I agree that it was poorly implemented. And I can see where anyone coming from Magic would consider pooling to be intuitive but I have taught far more people to understand how the pre-pooling 'taxation' worked within a game or two than not.

A second good point for pooling most people would as a convention bow all they holdings at once and then guys popped out. it removed the whole aspect that by technical rule bowing all ones holding would ahve only paid ones cost.
