Re: CoM: FOLLOWER Thunderous Legion

The scout follower on the Crab Forum is also silly good. I think they're trying to throw commanders a bone before they hit everything with the nerf bat. All of the IE bugged cards are pretty underwhelming in the current environment.

Re: COM: PERSONALITY: Komori Miyano, the Shadow Wing

2G for someone who can bow for actions and still make a dude to create presence. Makes a recurring redirection for anyone with Blade of Champions and/or Cloak of the Chameleon. For 2G, making recurring body is really solid.

Remarkably unremarkable. RA3 on a 9G personality. His ring ability is useful in some sort of enlightenment deck.

He says search your deck for a card. 5F/5C, ton of keywords, and controlled card draw, all for 9G. He's a truck.

Thanks very much for posting this. I'll obviously change a handful of cards because of personal preference, but looks to be just as fun as I remembered. Looks solid. I'll let you know if any of my changes come across as being awesome or not.

Re: Retribution or no retribution!!

That is so true shinjo slime that a military match-up can be decided on the first battle. When I used to play kensai I remember playing another kensai and the game did come to the first opposed battle. I took a chance that he didn't have a near miss and he actually told me he screwed up by forgetti...

Naga/Nonhuman Death Priests Inquiry

A while back, I looked for a Unicorn/Nonhuman Death Priest deck that looked hilarious/fun to play. I was wondering if the deck ever got posted, because I never found it. It had Quelsa, Shadow Dragon, Jouta, and an assortment of nonhuman shugenja and big spells combined with Oblivious. If anyone has ...

Re: Scout/Commander out of JEK

It is TMF that he's running out of, but i feel like running too close to home would hose my deck design over as well since my primary action in battle is send home. My issue isn't that he's moving a bunch of people in, he just had a number of personalities when the turn starts and then creates more...

Re: Wonky Maiden Honor

Have you tested it against pure honor decks? I'm playing with the idea myself and pure defensive matchups, witch also dabble with you, dishonoring, bowing and doing some rhetorics, are quite hard. Impossible even. Against dishonor, you're cool. Against courtier honor... I would just accept that you...

Re: Scout/Commander out of JEK

There are quite a few renditions of Lion Ancestors atm. The one thing you can be certain of is that they are going to be running a shitload of send home and enough movement + additional actions to get their shugenja into the battle to perform their actions. If you run Too Close To Home, the only sen...

Wonky Maiden Honor

Ok... this is effectively a PURE honor deck. The goal is literally to just proclaim a dude every turn. When someone attacks you, you TPM and gain some extra honor. Eventually you defend with 4 BMs and gain a bunch of honor during battle and hopefully cross. Plains of the Maiden BK Regular BH Regular...

Looks hilariously fun. Thanks for sharing.

Re: JEK - Group Think Discussion...

I still like the idea of Paragons + Gift Armor/Vigilant Riders since Iron Will can be used to prevent them from dying to Steel on Steel and A Stain Cleansed which leaves them really hard to murder to traditional means. Not to mention Paragons having still the best suite of actions available to them....

Re: JEK - Group Think Discussion...

They have finally started to print some decent followers, even for Unicorn. The ones I like for Unicorn are: Champion of Thunder (big enough to be out of most RA/MA and has destruction negation and built in RA6) Elephant Caravan (capable of killing through attachments, otherwise has an relatively ea...

No Seeking the Truth to retrieve whatever busted kill action you want? You do have 9x Scouts to play it reliably.

Otherwise, looks hilarious.

Re: TKE Tacticians - Critique & Advice Appreciated

I don't like Saenari, even as a throw away Tactician. He's just bad. Isul/Junpei will show up often enough to utilize the box. I'd put in someone with a battle action. I like the "toolbox" for Imperial Gift. All of those items are really useful in their own right. I don't like Interference. It is a ...
